Access the recording and latest updates on SmartyGrants and new invoicing arrangements – refer HERE     DNATA – CHANGES TO THE APPLICATION OF EXPORT STORAGE – effective 17 August 2020, the changes to dnata’s current published tariff schedule including terms and conditions are as follows – refer HERE     ICS PERFORMANCE & BUSINESS CONTINUITY – the problem stems from the five-fold increase in sea cargo clearance requests through ICS, which was not designed to enable prioritisation. In the longer term this issue will be resolved by the delivery of the ICS Capability Uplift Project which will implement (among other things) prioritised throughput in the gateway – refer HERE     SEA CARGO RANSOM PAYMENT MODEL  – Qube Brisbane Port Empty Container Park has announced an increase of their container dehire booking fee to $51.50 (excl GST) per container effective 17 August 2020. It remains unbelievable that we have state and federal governments pointing to each other to take action, meanwhile the ‘money tap’ keeps getting opened whenever stevedores and empty container parks require more revenue.

Transport operator falls off his chair – refer HERE     HUTCHISON INCREASE FEES – effective yesterday 27 July 2020, the Infrastructure Surcharge (now more appropriately referred to as a Terminal Access Charge) administered by Hutchison Ports increased by 90% ($50 to $94.78) payable for all containers delivered to / from their Brisbane terminal – refer HERE (FTA / APSA MEMBER LOGIN REQUIRED)

A full list of Infrastructure Surcharges administered by all stevedores nationally is available HERE (FTA / APSA MEMBER LOGIN REQUIRED)     ADVOCACY INFRASTRUCTURE SURCHARGES – we have achieved the following opportunities to address our concerns at a Federal Government level.  3pm, 30 July 2020 – presentation before the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade (JSCFADT) “Inquiry into the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for Australia’s foreign affairs, defence and trade”. 11.30am, 31 July 2020 – dedicated teleconference with the Deputy Prime Minister Discussion Paper – Proposed Class Exemption for Ocean Liner Shipping
