IN THIS EMAIL >  MPI Treatment Providers >  International Airfreight Capacity >  Ports of Auckland, Customer Advisory: COVID-19 Update >  Useful Links   CBAFF Updates MPI Treatment Providers In response to CBAFF’s concern to MPI about the lateness of release of the Import Health Standard and enquiry about evidence required to be produced to demonstrate that a treatment provider has applied for approval, we have received the following advice: If the provider is not on the 20/21 list and their application is being processed they shouldn’t use the provider until they are approved.  However for NZ only if the provider is on the 19/20 list we will accept that up until a certain point as per the notice below.      There is only one treatment provider list managed by both MPI / DAWE (Australian Department of Agricuulture, Water and Environment). We asked all treatment providers to reapply from last year, at this stage we are receiving the applications at different times, noting that some providers have not sent  their application yet.  All providers apply via the one portal which is coming into DAWE and they provide the primary screening and approval, with input from MPI as needed.    This year we also have on-line training which they must complete before training, and we have developed more remote verification tools to manage the system.   The import rules for DAWE and MPI (IHS) were released at different times due to different legislative frameworks.    International Airfreight Capacity Air New Zealand has advised CBAFF that the airline has signed an extension agreement with the NZ Government for Air New Zealand flying under the International Airfreight Capacity (IAFC) scheme until the end of November.

Details of flights are available on the NZ Trade and Enterprise website.
